Travel and sport force one to live in
the moment. To get the most from the experience, one must use all the
senses, all the time.
Originally from Toronto, Alex moved to Whistler, BC in 1990. The following
15 years gave him ample opportunity to ski a lot of powder, ride a lot
of trails, and visit a lot of countries.
He and his wife, Diane, have travelled through over thirty Asian, African
and South American countries. They now live in Tofino, on the west coast
of Vancouver Island, where they own Lost
Sailor Guesthouse.
Alex's interest in writing and photography grew from these travels. He
now writes op/ed commentary for the Westerly and Westcoaster.
He looks forward to every opportunity to travel.
